The use of computer forensic investigations during the course of an employee dispute or other labor and employment law issue is one of the foundations of Advanced Surveillance Group, and several of our senior investigators solely specialize in this area.

Our computer forensics practice was established under the direct supervision of our forensics director and noted computer forensics expert, Kevin Ripa. Mr. Ripa is a noted authority and speaker on computer forensics and computer related investigations like internet profiling and email tracing. This practice area has grown significantly since its inception, and the national reputation of the firm has grown with its size.

Beginning with employers in Michigan, Florida and Texas, we have aggressively entered the employer defense arena. One of the keys to our success in this area is ability to quickly come to an employer’s location and make a forensically sound image of the hard drive of an employee that this employer is terminating who may pose a threat to the company. We then retain this image and hold it in our evidence locker if and until our client needs to have a complete forensics analysis. This gives the client a sort of evidence insurance policy in the event that litigation ensues. This is an excellent approach not only regarding problem terminations, but is also very prudent for exiting high level executives.

As more and more employees leave on their own accord, but end up trying to fight non-compete agreements or are in a position to take vital company data with them when they leave, A.S.G. is available to conduct our forensic computer investigations on computers associated with these departed individuals. We are also heavily involved in computer forensics aimed at rooting out criminal activity within an organization.
